  I got a certified from Comerica Bank and sent it to a company. The certified check was returned for non sufficient funds (really a Certified Check). This happen while I was dealing with health issues so I was unable to address it with the bank immediately. I later took them the certified check they issued to me that was stamped "return insufficient funds" and requested they cash the check and tell me how this happened, that a check they issued had non sufficient funds. They say they did not have the records anymore and I was out of luck and out of the money. Really, this is not suppose to happen. I still have the useless check to this day and Comerica still has my money.

  Let me tell you in my own words what pretty much happened to me. I so regret getting this as my bank, can't wait til I am done with finals for college. Going to switch banks. Was told as long as I go to college there will be 0 fees. After a few months I checked my bill and I been getting charged 10 bucks a month. I told them, they said "it won't happen again". I said okay, what about the previous charges, give me the money back. they said, "Unfortunately even though we don't know how the mistake was made we can't do nothing about it, I'll forward your message to management". Weeks later, I get none of my money back. Even told them I am putting a bad review, still didn't get my money that was lost unlawfully. I called the bank, and sent them messages online. I just get bs responses saying "it won't happen again".
